Day 3 - Visit to CERES

Good day!

After our visit to Westgarth Primary School, we made our way to the CERES Community Environment Park, one of Australia's most visited environmental education centres.

The land where CERES sits on now was once a wasteland and rubbish dump. However, it is now an environment conservation haven that is playing its role to educate and inspire the people to live a sustainable lifestyle that has minimal impact to our earth.

We were amazed by the many facilities in CERES.  The main landmark is an organic farm and guided trails to follow and opportunities to learn more about global warming, water and energy conservation, waste minimisation, the ways of the Wurundjeri, and the future of our society.

Our patient and knowledgeable guide, Mr Nick.

Here is us ending the day taking a photograph at the Melbourne Parliment House.

See you all tomorrow!!

Warmest regards,
Team Eunos@Melbourne 2013

  1. Another knowledge-packed day. These kids are lucky indeed to have experienced all these. I hope that they would all develop a genuine interest in maths and science after seeing that maths and science are truly 'alive' in their midst....

Day 5 and still soaring with energy. Three more to come. Enjoy the journey guys!
